The Band
A Hidden Agenda started in June of 2005 with founding members Jerm on vocals and Danny-Boy on Bass. Shortly after Jenny and Aaron were added to the line-up to take on the role of guitar players, and the addition of Alan on drums finalized the line-up. Dedicated to being a pop-punk band that breaks the mold of other groups in the genre, AHA brings you songs about standing your ground, staying true to yourself, quitting your nine to five job follow your dreams, drinking cheap American beers and random acts of stupidity. A sure-fire relief from the tacky sentimental crap that’s been flooding your radio airwaves since pop-punk first came into existence.
Things started shaping up fast for AHA with one catchy pop-punk song after another rolling out of the recesses of their minds, including fan favorites “Monica,” “Eddie Said,” and “Time Machine.” Never having been on tour the members of A Hidden Agenda have been perfectly content working on a regional basis and building their fan-base through-out the Mid-West one venue at a time.
With new management, new material, and goals beyond the clouds A Hidden Agenda is coming to a venue near you ready to rock you like a Delorean on plutonium!
MEMBERS
One of the founding members of the band. Jerm pulls alot of his influences from bands like Social Distortion, Rancid, NoFX, The Offspring, Green Day, New Found Glory, The Ataris and too many others to list here. When not writing for the band he can be found at one of the many wating holes in central IL.
The second founding member of AHA. Danny boys influences range from Dropkick Murphys, Against All Athority, The Street Dogs and Bad Religion too Metallica, Pantera, Mudvayne and everything in between.
Jenny was the first “offical” guitarist of AHA. he influences include but are not limited to Thrice, The Bright Eyes, Radiohead, Weezer, Tenacious D, Jack Johnson, Audioslave, Rage Against The Machine, Green Day, Hayden, The Refreshments, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, and Ben Folds just too name a few. Outside of the band shes a loving mother and can party with the best of em.
Aaron was brought into the fold by Jen when we were looking for a bigger sound, and he fit in perfectly. The Used, Blink 182, Goldfinger, Foo Fighters (when it’s rock’n), The Beatles, My Chemical Romance, Match Box 20 are just s few if his influences. He is a fan music in general, rock climbing, and of course, BEER!!
Alan is the newist mamber of AHA, but that doesnt mean he hasnt been around for quite some time. He loves 70s rock and his influences include King Crimson, Chicago, thursday, at the drive in, the mars volta, circle takes the square, glassjaw, himsa, and Thin Lizzy. hes a complete gear head. He is always taking things apart just to see how they work.
